Mantels are built of poplar and birch wood which has a grain that paints or stains beautifully. For an additional charge the mantel can be built of the wood of your choice. Mantels are shipped unfinished, sanded and ready for you to finish to match your decor, or you may choose to have the mantel primed, painted white or stained before shipment.
