Frequently Asked Questions.1. Of what wood are the mantels made? All mantels are made of high quality poplar and poplar plywood. Plywood
is used on parts of the mantels because it is stronger and does not warp like a
piece of board might. This wood has a smooth grain that paints and
stains well. There is no MDF (fiber board) in any of our mantels. 2. Are the mantels finished? Mantels are unfinished , sanded and ready for you to finish to
match your decor. 3. How do I install the mantel? There are many ways to install a mantel. For suggestions see our web page entitled Installation. 4. How is the mantel shipped The mantels are shipped by UPS or Fed-X freight. You will be contacted when your mantel ships and given a tracking number. The mantel will arrive in a wooden box that you will need a screw driver to open. 5. Why do you request so many measurements?
